Photography In General

I've spent a lot of years of my life dabbling in photography. Starting out in the early 70's as just a hobby...to keep up with my brother, I bought my first 35mm Minolta SRT 101. I still have it today and the darn thing still works! Working in advertising for almost 30 years, I spent 5 of those years as the "in-house" photographer. I had the opportunity to work for two incredibly creative individuals who helped me learn a bit about lighting and composition. With no formal training I admit that many of my best photos were mistakes....thank god I took notes! Tens of thousands of photos later I moved on to other advertising roles and photography once again became just a hobby. With the dawning of digital cameras, I rekindled my love for photography and today, well, let's call it an absolute passion. I enjoy every aspect of photography. I read I experiment and I mainly have fun. Put the camera in my hand and I just know my blood pressure goes down while my excitement level goes up. I don't shoot with the most expensive gear, but I do have a lot of fun. I'd love to hear stories from any readers about their love...or passion for photography. Happy Shooting!
